regulation to be a policy under authority of the Board of Trustees. Content
revision limits policy to only define criteria for emeritus status. A separate
regulation has been created to address procedures for awarding emeritus status.
April 20, 2007 Current Version- Revision of this policy is part of a package of three policies and one regulation that all must be revised to implement the Board of Trustees delegation to the Chancellor the authority to approve faculty and SAAO Tier II emeritus status. Also, the procedure no longer uses HR017 form. The three policies and one regulation are: POL01.20.1-Authority of the Chancellor; PL05.15.02-Emeritus Status for SAAOs; POL05.20.02-Emeritus Faculty Status and Involvement; and REG05.20.06-Emeritus Faculty Status Procedure.
