As an agency of the state of North Carolina, NC State University is required to follow various federal and state laws and regulations, as well as policies and regulations of the University of North Carolina.

1. Introduction

An employee transferred to a new duty station 35 miles or more from an existing residence who chooses to change place of residence is eligible for reimbursement of moving expenses. Under such circumstances, up to three days leave with pay may be granted for relocation arrangements.

Information on reimbursement for moving expenses is available from the Budget Office.

2. Covered Employees

SPA (Staff) employees are covered.
