As an agency of the state of North Carolina, NC State University is required to follow various federal and state laws and regulations, as well as policies and regulations of the University of North Carolina.

As a constituent institution of the University of North Carolina, NC State University is required to follow the policies adopted by the University of North Carolina Board of Governors.

 

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all political activities of employees exempt from the State Personnel System (Article 1 of Chapter 126 of the General Statutes) comply with the policies adopted by the University of North Carolina Board of Governors.

2. Covered Employees

All employees of the University of North Carolina and of constituent institutions who are exempt from the State Personnel System (Article 1 of Chapter 126 of the General Statutes).
