December 3, 2007 Current Version - The proposed revisions are intended to ensure the University is in compliance with statewide regulations on probationary periods for law enforcement officers.  To date, NC State requires law enforcement officers to serve probationary periods of nine months after the start of initial employment. Statewide regulations require a 12-month probationary period for law enforcement officers, and the proposed revisions reflect that change.  The proposed effective date for the revision is July 1, 2006.
