October 17, 2006 Archived Version (Effective October 17, 2006 through October 24, 2007) - The Department changed their workload and performance principles in the interest of greater specificity and flexibility, so that, e.g., (a) faculty who are less productive at research could be given increased teaching and/or service loads and (b) faculty carrying heavier administrative assignments could be more adequately compensated by adjustments in their teaching and/or research loads. Changes also made this rule consistent with departmental practices.
October 25, 2007 Archived Version (Effective October 25, 2007 through September 18, 2008) - Revised to clarify that DVF members should vote even if not able to attend the meeting.
September 19, 2008 Archived Version (Effective September 19, 2008 through October 20, 2008) -
Revised to delete portions of Section 5.4 and 6.5 because of the repeal of REG05.20.19 (These deletions are incidentally, fully consistent with the material on the "six realms" in POL05.20.1). Changes made in deadlines in Section 7 are required to ensure that the department meets new college deadlines (See Sections 7.1.4, 7.2.1, 7.2.2, 7.2.3, 7.2.7, 7.2.11, 7.3.1, 7.3.2, 7.3.6 and 7.3.10).
October 21, 2008 Current Version - Revised to delete last sentence of Section 2 previously stating that variations can be negotiated with the head as part of the Statement of Mutual Expectation and that performance expectations vary with the split. Revised to delete last sentence of Section 3 stating the list of standards specified in Sections 4-7 applies to all faculty, it is ipso facto a statement of general standards. Changes to Section 5.4.1 to add clarity to tenure and promotion counting for Professor's with previous work at other education institutions. Changes to 6.5.1 to add clarity to evaluating scholarly work considered for promotion to Professor as it must be accepted for publication since the date of the candidate's last promotion.
