1. INTRODUCTION:
Teachers needing to earn certificate renewal credits may do so through successful
completion of noncredit CEU approved computer training classes consistent
with the standards established by the NC
Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI).
2. REQUIREMENTS:
The following outlines important course fee and lab rental information applicable
to participants as well as training planners/coordinators.
2.1. A teacher seeking renewal credit through enrollment and successful completion
of CTU courses must meet the criteria established by NCDPI and obtain prior
approval from his/her school district office. Overall requirements are established
by the NCDPI.
2.2. The NC TEACH IT program, specifically designed for teachers, meets 18079
NCDPI standards, Special Endorsement in Computer Education, and fulfills
the requirements for the position of Technology Facilitator.
