History of NCSU POL01.05.9 Executive Committee

Authority: Board of Trustees

History:

First Issued :

February 21, 2003 (Archived Version-Effective February 21, 2003 thru February 16, 2006)

Revisions :

February 17, 2006 (Current Version) - The Board of Governors policy on Conflicts of Interest and Dual Memberships requires the Board of Trustees to review and take final action on proposed contracts of $10,000 or more that may constitute a potential conflict of interest. The delegated authority to the Executive Committee to handle these matters does not contain provisions that would prohibit the Committee from acting if a member or members of the Committee have a potential conflict of interest. Therefore this revision is made to permit the Chair of the Board, in the event of such a potential conflict, to assign the matter to another standing committee of the Board of Trustees or to appoint an ad hoc committee of no less than three members of the Board to handle the matter (See Section 2.3).
