An all-faculty committee, chaired by the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor, would replace the current the Faculty-Trustees Honorary Degree Committee. The Provost would lead the faculty in development of honorary degree nominations, and would present the Committee's recommendations to the Academic Affairs and Personnel Committee. Revised Sections: 1.1;2.1; 2.2; 2.3; 2.4; 2.5; 3.1; 3.2; 3.3; 3.4; and 4.1.

November 18, 2005 Current Version - Revised policy to bring it into compliance with the recently revised Professors of Distinction regulation. Revised Section 2.2 to delete reference to Council of University Professors.
