1. Purpose
To define the processes by which requests for modifications to the Financials
and Human Resources systems are submitted and approved. Modifications to the
Financials and Human Resources systems are permitted only when one of the
following occurs:
1.1. A state of North Carolina law or regulation requires a process or function
that is not present in the system and NC State University can not change
the law or regulation or receive an exemption; or
1.2. The University of North Carolina rules and regulations require a system
change and, again, NC State University can not change the law or regulation
or receive an exemption; or
1.3. The modification will provide a clear and demonstrable productivity enhancement
to the University Community.
2. Covered Systems
Financials Production, Financials Reporting, Human Resources Production,
and Human Resources Reporting.
3. Procedure
Requests for modifications must be submitted to the appropriate data steward
(see Data Management Procedures Regulation
- Data Steward Section for a listing of data stewards and their associated
areas of responsibility). The data steward will present the request to the
Financials or Human Resources Assessment Team for approval. If necessary,
the request will also be presented to the Financials and Human Resources Steering
Team and Management Team for approval.
