1. Purpose
To describe the licensing requirements for software offered by Network and
Client Services (NCS) and the processes for requesting licenses.
2. General Guidelines
The use of the computing resources and systems supported by NCS are governed
by the University's Computer Use Policy. It
is the responsibility of each department to maintain proof of licensing for
all software utilized in their department including those packages supported
by NCS.
3. Procedure
Licenses for software supported by NCS may be obtained via the NCS website.
Departments will be issued IDTs to reimburse NCS for the purchase of the applicable
software licenses. These IDTs will serve as the departments proof of license.
