1. Room Changes

Students who are changing rooms must check into their new room by contacting an RA. Room assignment changes are permitted only upon prior written authorization by the Housing Assignments Office. The initial room change period will begin approximately two (2) weeks after the start of the semester. If you complete an unauthorized room change, you will be required to return to your originally assigned room, will be denied the opportunity to participate in any other room change for the academic year, and will be assessed an unauthorized room change fee.

2. New Roommate

Please understand that it is not always possible to notify students about the arrival of a new roommate. When a student requests a room change or a new student requests an assignment to a specific residence hall, an effort is made to provide several room numbers as options. If the current occupant cannot be contacted in person by the incoming student, the Housing Assignments staff will attempt to contact the student by phone to inform the occupant that a prospective roommate can be expected.
