This Admissions Application is for undergraduate NC State students who are currently enrolled
in a degree program but wish to transfer to the College of Design. Applicants must have completed
a minimum of 15 semester hours by the end of fall semester 2009 with a 2.7 grade point average.
(Lifelong Education applicants are not eligible for this process).

In addition to reviewing the 10 images within your online portfolio, the College of Design would also like to gain insight into what you currently know and think about design and its impact on the world around you. Please be mindful that you should answer the Essay Question from the viewpoint of your chosen prospective major: Architecture, Art + Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design or Landscape Architecture (please title your submission accordingly).Your response should not exceed 4000 characters (approximately 750 words).

In a world increasingly defined by opportunities as well as economic, social, technological and environmental challenges, what would you envision your contributions to be as a future designer in your community?

Your online portfolio should includes a maximum of 10 images that will be considered for review.
Your portfolio image files should be in a format that are no larger then 1024x768, 72DPI JPEGs.
