Areas of Extension/Research
Dr. Fernandez has an extension/research appointment with resposibilites for small fruit crops in North Carolina. In 2004, she became the leader of the bramble (raspberry and blackberry) breeding program. She also teaches HS 422, Small Fruit Production.
