If the arrival of warm weather isn't incentive enough to hit the links, check out Rounds4Research.com for an innovative way to golf for a good cause. This online auction allows golfers to bid for foursomes and golf packages at first-class courses across North and South Carolina. All the proceeds benefit turfgrass research programs at North Carolina State University and Clemson University.
The live auction runs from April 19 to May 6 and features more than 250 golf courses. Rounds can be enjoyed through May 2010.
Rounds4Research.com was created by the Carolinas Golf Course Superintendents Association in an effort to support university turfgrass programs that, according to the auction Web site, "provide grassroots security for the $5 billion in economic benefit that golf brings to the Carolinas every year."
