The Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences Department survey contains forms for collecting and storing personally-identifying information (PII) about you (e.g. name and address) when you visit our site. If a participant in the survey chooses to fill in this information, it is our policy to never sell or distribute PII or use it for any purposes other than demographics.

IP Addresses
We collect and store along with each survey entry your IP address. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer the Web site.

Email Addresses
Email addresses are optionally requested in the survey form and are stored along with survey information. They will not be sold or distributed to other parties nor will they be used for unsolicited mass-mail advertising.

Surveys
The information collected via our surveys is considered private information and is used solely for purposes of research and education. Specifically, our online surveys ask visitors for information about their demographics, comments, and of course information about the canada goose sighting which they are reporting. This information is collected, stored and used solely for the purpose of research and education.

Information collected in the surveys will be used to form papers written in peer-reviewed journals.
