The Brownfield area is located north of Hammond Pond in the Walnut Creek wetland. It is a potential pollution source for the wetland. Dumus Oil, located on the first property north of the pond in the Brownfield area, may be a threat. In the northern part of the Brownfields there are industrial and commercial pollutants that may affect the coastal environment in the wetland.
