Aster 'Serenade White'
Trial: Annual
Years Trialed: 1998
Good Qualities:
Good vaselife (3); Pretty flower; We used in bouquets; Earliest to flower of the three colors; Lots of side cuts first & then cut complete stem with many flowers still attached; Small flowers worked easily into bouquets (Used this one for some wedding work); Multi-branching habit; Bright green foliage; Flower ~3cm; Good show. Was accepted in market with enthusiasm;
Problems:
No height; No branching; Did not produce enough dollars/square foot in greenhouse - could be a good candidate for field production
