Celosia cristata 'Temple Belles Dark Rose'
Trial: Annual
Years Trialed: 2000
Good Qualities:
Color (7); Easy; Pretty good head developed; Excellent producer; Velvet looking flower, very nice; Easy to grow and required only 1 layer of support but is strong stemmed for such a tall plant; The florists who didn’t care for the fan shaped Supercrest liked this one so growing both is a good thing for me; Pest free, nice dried, self sows/second generation within 6 months.
Problems:
Stems too thick (2); Somewhat later than other crested cockscomb, stems a bit weak, early on, then they strengthen; Heads not as large as could be; Sometimes twisted stems or blooms.
