Good Qualities:
Great, vibrant color (7); large heads (3); It's sellable; Didn't need support; Beautiful form; Heads shaped somewhat uniquely.
Problems:
Too short (5); Low yield/plant (3); Crested types are not popular when they look this way, also, 'Supercrest' performed better but 'Toreador' did not require staking; Didn't have much branching for side stems; Santa Cruz is often problematic for celosia and gomprena-type heat lovers and 'Toreador Red' was no exception; Well I'm sure its just the temperature, its just too cool!; Took too long to bloom (zone 6).

Not a true red; Consumers like smaller flower clusters instead of one large fan on crest; People liked this color and form but I thought the plants shortness really limited the potential.
