Trial: Annual

Years Trialed: 1996

Good Qualities:

Color (3); Good germination rate (2); Good stem length, and scent.; Bright blooms, easily grown from seed.

Problems:

Though germination was strong, the plants field performance proved to be even weaker than the 'Miss Biwako' cultivar.; Local market not interested in this flower (Oxford, MS).; Very poor germination in my coldframe and unable to transplant to the field; The flowers were defective with wide spaces between some petals.

Comments:

This plant is better suited to areas with a warmer average climate and a longer growing season (Olds, Alberta).
