Didiscus caeruleus 'Madonna Rose'

Trial: Annual

Years Trialed: 1996

Good Qualities:

Good color (2); Stem length (2); Seems sturdier than pink already on the market.

Problems:

Not as productive and most affected by the soil line ;rot;, so I lost some plants.; Did not germinate in the field - cool, wet spring.; Doesn't root very deeply. Pulls out of sandy soil.; It didn't bloom until the second week of October and our season is pretty much over by then

Comments:

The weather was wet and cold or hot and drought, not ideal for making judgements (Everett, WA). I cut the flowers in October and they lasted over 7 days. They were nice.
