Eustoma 'Flamenco Purple Rose'

Trial: Annual

Years Trialed: 2000

Good Qualities:

Color (3); Large stiff stems; Single flower, later to bloom than Avila, Catalina and Balboa; Can’t say enough; no disease, no insects, no wilt; Good vase life.

Problems:

Very slow to flower, rosettes; Germination was horrible. Not good branching, too short; Eustoma takes a lot of attention after germination; None.

Comments:

Very attractive color, segregating shorter rose plants, variable height, good stems and spray; One layer of support, outstanding color but very late (August/September) (Zone 5).
