Salvia horminum 'Marble Arch White'
Trial: Annual
Years Trialed: 1999
Good Qualities:
Good color (2); This would be excellent in a garden; Interesting 'flowers'; Blooms early (good); Vase life; Nice flower basket fill. Many stems. Stayed more upright than blue; Overall plant appearance
Problems:
Too short (2); Insufficient color or color washed out (2); The shape and form of this plant does not lend itself well to our mixed bunches because of the bract formation, the actual flowers are lost by the time the bracts form; Did not germinate in the field; None; Poorest color contrast of the 3 salvias. Have melted down in heat; Slow to germinate.

Comments:
A little weak in color for white/cream; Not great cut flower; Needs another color mixed in to work. A good filler cut. Stems a bit short; A few rose plants came up too - bouquets with the 3 colors mixed were very popular.
