Solidago 'Prairie Gold' Experimental

Trial: Perennial

Years Trialed: , 1

Good Qualities:

Year 1:

Good basal branching for a solidago, no rust!; Has great feel, nice clean foliage.

Year 2:

Tall, late, great filler; Good stem length, yellow/red contrast.

Problems:

Year 1:

Stems rather short; Not quite as vigorous as I would like, some problems getting it to survive in field; Needs 2nd season before evaluation.

Year 2:

Not enough of it, am propagating; Bit 'wild looking'.

Comments:

Year 2:

It was later than 'Tara' which is great; Nice red stems.
