Syringa x hyacinthiflora 'Asessippi'

Syringa x hyacinthiflora 'Asessippi'

Trial: Woody

Year Trialed: 2004

Year of Trial: Second (from 2005 report)

Good Qualities:

Problems:

Not big enough to really flower, some vole problems; Mildew late.

Comments:

One trialers reported the postharvest life as 4 days; Produced several blooms but the plant is still too small to harvest from; I lost a lot of the syringia this summer, I think it was a soil borne issue, plants at one end of the row started dying and the problem spread up the row from one cultivar to another; Looking forward to seeing these bloom well.
