Mission Statement:
The aim of the Equine Orthopedic Program at the College of Veterinary Medicine is to provide a center for clinical service, instruction, research and continuing education to support the North Carolina Horse Industry. Lameness, a problem that affects at least one horse in over 80% of boarding and training facilities each year, is the leading cause of numbers of lost days of use in horses, and the leading reason why horse-owners seek veterinary attention. |
