This course is designed to familiarize you with the summer program
component of an agricultural education program. You will participate in selected summer activities of an agricultural education program and reflect upon your experiences. You will also develop a summer program plan. Some of the activities in which you might participate include Supervised Agricultural Experience program visits, professional development workshops, FFA activities, classroom and laboratory management activities.

This is a crazy course! I get my syllabus and assignments in the spring semester, complete the coursework during the summer, and submit my assignments within the first two weeks of the fall semester. Why is AEE 327 set up like this?
Answer: AEE does this to save you tuition dollars. By offering this course in this manner, AEE saves you from having to take a course during the summer and pay summer tuition.
Can I complete this course at the school I attended as a high school student?
Answer: No. This is a departmental requirement and is not negotiable.
Which school should I choose? One close by where I live?
Choose the best agricultural program that is reasonably close to where you will be this summer. (Such as near home, or near summer school in Raleigh, etc.) NEVER CHOOSE A SCHOOL SITE BASED UPON EASE OF TRAVEL. PICK THE BEST SCHOOLS, SO THAT YOU GET THE BEST EXPERIENCE.
When can I start my observations?
Answer: As soon as your cooperating teacher has agreed to work with you, AND as soon as school ends for the year.
When will I find out if my placement has been approved?
Answer: Dr. Croom will notify you by email as soon as the cooperating site is approved.
When must I be finished with my observations?
Answer: Before the beginning of the school year at your cooperating school.
I cannot access WebCT Vista or I'm having problems with loading certain webpages. What do I do?
Answer: If the problem is with Vista, contact the NCSU help desk. The contact information is on the Vista introductory page. If the problem is with this page, contact Barry Croom. If you cannot resolve the problem easily, please contact Dr. Croom.
