Robin Moore, Director of the Natural Learning Initiative, points out features of the Edible Schoolyard exhibit at the Greensboro Children's Museum to Chancellor Randy Woodson.
Chancellor Randy Woodson, who assumed the head job at NC State in early April, made it a point to become familiar with the College of Design very quickly upon his arrival.
Woodson spent most of May 5 at the College, receiving a tour of the facilities and then meeting with students, faculty and administration in the Upper Belk Rotunda before joining everyone for a barbecue lunch in The Pit area. “The College of Design is poised to infuse the University with a different way of thinking—if we will let it,” Woodson told faculty.
And on May 26, Woodson—who previously chaired the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture Department at Purdue University before rising to the provost position there—visited the Edible Schoolyard exhibit at the Greensboro Children’s Museum. He received a tour of the exhibit from Robin Moore of the Natural Learning Initiative, which advised the project.
Woodson also attended the Design Guild Award Dinner on April 10 with his wife, Susan, who is a graphic designer by trade.
Welcome to NC State, Chancellor!
