Prague Institute turns five

A birthday is a great excuse for a party—or several. Celebrations for the Prague Institute’s 5th Anniversary included a summer party attended by over 80 students, faculty and friends in the Prague community.

In five years the Institute has grown from a single studio to seven, and from eight students to 80. Facilities now encompass 5,000 sq. ft. of space on three floors. The Institute remains the only official foreign facility of the North Carolina University System.

General studies courses have also been developed in cooperation with several other colleges at NC State.

Director Dana Bartelt said, “the Institute is growing, not just in space, but also in expanding opportunities through innovative programming focusing on sustainability and community engagement.”
