The 110,000 square-foot Terry Center will offer cutting-edge technologies for imaging, cardiac care, cancer treatments, internal medicine, and surgery.
The College of Veterinary Medicine will be opening the Randall B. Terry, Jr. Companion Animal Veterinary Medical Center in Spring, 2011.
The Terry Center’s exterior was designed by College of Design alum Roy Abernathy, who is the president, CEO, and managing principal with Jova/Daniels/Busby in Atlanta. Abernathy holds a Master of Architecture, Bachelor of Environmental Design, and Bachelor of Science degrees from NC State (and did a little vet med studies). In addition to leading Jova/Daniels/Busby, he is a noted lecturer on workplace performance, business architecture, and the future of facilities performance.
Events to celebrate the new center are planned May 4 through May 8, 2011, including an open house for the campus community on Thursday, May 5, 1 to 4 p.m. A formal dedication will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, May, 6.
