Mentoring Mania event to take place April 8


On Friday, April 8, 2011, several members of the College of Design’s Leaders Council will be visiting the college to offer career advice to design students in a variety of disciplines. Deadline for students to sign up will be at noon on Monday, April 4, 2011.

The event will begin with a lunch with the Leaders Council members in the Brooks Rotunda beginning at noon. Complimentary lunch will be provided to the first 50 students you register for the event.

During this time, Leaders Council members will be introduced and students who register in advance will have the opportunity to eat a casual lunch and sit with council members who have distinguished themselves in their design career paths, portfolios, the current climate for hiring and the culture of design offices, large and small.

The second part of mentoring mania will begin at 1:30 and end at 4:30 p.m. Students may register for one-on-one sessions with Leaders Council members for portfolio review or career/mentoring advice sessions during the afternoon. Please note that these are not scheduled job interviews.
