Design Research and Methods Journal publishes first issue

The Design Research and Methods Journal (DRMJ) is an open-access journal devoted to the documentation of investigations, methods and solutions developed in design research.

By documenting the efforts of the researchers and designer’s at North Carolina State University’s College of Design, the DRMJ improves access to design research and facilitates conversations across disciplines and borders.

The first issue initiates the discussion with more than twenty-five articles from the fields of architecture, home construction, product design, and others. The articles were initially published between 1989 and 2009 by the Center for Universal Design at NC State.

The Center for Universal Design has provided materials for distribution through the journal in an effort to effectively and easily distribute the material while minimizing the financial and ecological impact on the assistance provided to the citizens of North Carolina and beyond.
