Landscape Architecture Design Build Summer 2011 ribbon cutting and presentation set for August 19

Please join College of Design students, donors, university participants and individuals from across the campus in a ribbon cutting ceremony set for Friday, August 19 at 12:00 p.m.

A presentation will be given in Burns Auditorium prior to the ribbon cutting. After the presentation follow the students as they walk through the Syme Hall Rain Garden to the new project area between Turlington and Owen Hall.

The College will be hosting a “Back to School BBQ” for all students, faculty and staff for the College of Design on Friday, August 26, 2011 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Pit in between Kamphoefner Hall and Brooks Hall.

Free food will be provided and the event is sponsored by the Design Guild.

Come out and mingle with Design Guild members, students, faculty and staff as the new fall 2011 semester begins.

The Design Guild is a community of alumni, friends, design professionals and industry leaders whose purpose is to support, nurture and promote design education at the College of Design through volunteer efforts, special programs and events, and private contributions.

Architecture Alumni & Friends Reception in conjunction with AIA NC Conference set for September 9

Mark your calendars for the Architecture Alumni & Friends reception which will be in conjunction with the AIA NC conference hosted by PBC+L.

The Alumni & Friends reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the offices of PBC+L located at 333 Fayetteville Street, Suite 1000, in downtown Raleigh.
