Windle Wins Chili Cook Off Sponsored by WILA
The Women in Landscape Architecture (WILA) sponsored a chili cook off on Friday, February 3, 2012 engaging in cross disciplinary socialization and to raise money for the Department of Landscape Architecture sponsored WILA Professional Lecture.
Master of Landscape Architecture student Bethany Windle took first place with her homemade chili while Steve Judge and Drew Crumpton tied for second place with a vegetarian chili and a spicy chili. Each winner received a gift card to Harris Teeter.
The Women in Landscape Architecture (WILA) is a branch of the Student American Society of Landscape Architects and their mission is to increase awareness of the role and work of women in the profession of landscape architecture. The group seeks to accomplish this mission by connecting both male and female students in the Department of Landscape Architecture to women in the landscape architecture profession through bi-monthly meetings with local professionals, a sponsored annual professional lecture and a gallery show featuring innovative student and professional work.
