2012 Design Camp Registration Starts on February 15
Design Camp registration begins this week on Wednesday, February 15!
- Registration for the on-campus 2012 Design Camps will begin on Wednesday, February 15. The registration form will be posted on our website at 9 a.m. on that day. Registration is first-come, first-serve by postmark date and sessions fill VERY quickly!
- To register, you will need to download the form from our website, complete it, and mail it in with a $100 deposit.
- 2012 sessions are June 24–30 (Overnight 1), July 15–20 (Day), and July 22–28 (Overnight 2).

Teen Drawing Event on March 3: I’m Drawing a….(blank)!
Join area teens in an afternoon of drawing mania. Doodle your face off! This event is organized by the CAM Raleigh Teen Council. Come one, come all! $5 museum admission, free for members. All supplies provided (except for shoes- see below), YOU bring the creativity. Saturday, March 3 • 1–4 p.m.
Drawing activities include:
- Sidewalk chalk drawing
- “Face Off” portrait drawing exchange
- Film screenings of cool timelapse drawing videos
- Collaborative large-scale floor drawing
- Shoe doodling (BYO-shoes)
- Henna tattoos
- Comic drawing!

High School Summer Studios at CAM Raleigh
Summer Design Studios are week-long discipline specific art and design workshops for high school students held at the museum in downtown Raleigh. Registration will begin on February 15 for these programs. More information here.

Middle School Summer Studio at CAM Raleigh:
June 18–22
The one-week summer studio session, taking place at CAM Raleigh, dives into the wide world of design. Students will meet local artists and designers, begin to develop a unique voice, and will bring creative ideas to life by using the critical thinking techniques that artists, architects, and designers rely on to convey conceptual and real propositions. In the collaborative studio setting you will explore hand-drawing, printmaking, physical modeling, sculpture, collage, and many other forms of creative media. Open to rising 7th and 8th graders.
