CAM Raleigh educational opportunities for middle school and high school students
Teen Art Exhibition artwork submissions accepted at CAM Raleigh this weekend!
- Saturday, May 12 and Sunday, May 13, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
- Monday, May 14 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
All submissions must be dropped off at the museum no later than 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 14. Submissions will not be accepted outside of these dates and times. Please fill out the submission form in its entirety. Artworks with incomplete submission forms will not be accepted.

Don’t Miss the Opening Reception Event
Friday, May 25th, 6:00–9:00 p.m.
The Opening Event features a performance by local teen band The Program, sweet treats from The Cupcake Shoppe Bakery, and many other fun surprises!
The CAM Raleigh Annual Teen Art Exhibition is an annual juried exhibition featuring artwork exclusively by local high school students. This year is the first year CAM Raleigh has offered this program! An opening event will take place on Friday, May 25 from 6:00–9:00 p.m. at the museum. The CAM Raleigh Teen Council is organizing and hosting this event and will be responsible for selecting works for inclusion in the exhibition. The Teen Art Exhibition will be on view in the CAM Raleigh Media Lab Gallery May 25–June 4, 2012.

Want to be a part of the 2012-2013 CAM Raleigh Teen Council?

The CAM Raleigh Teen Council develops programs, events and Museum-focused materials throughout the school year for their peers. The Teen Council is made up of dedicated high school students from across the Triangle region. Interested teens can apply to serve on the council on an annual basis.
Applications to serve on the 2012-2013 Teen Council are due by Monday, May 28, 2012.

Summer Studios & Design Labs at CAM Raleigh
Programs offered at the Museum include: discipline specific Summer Studios (high school), the new Design Lab Program (high school) and Art + Design Studio (middle school).
For high school students (rising 9-12 grades):
June 18–22: Industrial Design Summer Studio
June 25–29: Art to Wear Summer Studio
June 25–29: Design Lab Session 1
July 9–13: Spaces and Places Session 1 (architecture + landscape architecture)
July 9–13: Graphic Design Session 1
July 16–20: Spaces and Places Session 2 (architecture + landscape architecture)
July 16–20: Graphic Design Session 2
July 23–27: Design Lab Session 2
For middle school students (rising 7-8 grades):

Design Camp Registration Update
- We have a few spaces available for male campers in both overnight sessions. All female slots in the overnight sessions and the Design Day Camp slots are full, with full wait lists.
