Combine the study of economics and the environment as a way to drive more effective management practices.
The Economic Policy concentration is a multidisciplinary program that combines the study of environmental sciences with the analysis of environmental problems and proposed solutions. It also examines the complexity of environmental processes and human interactions with the development of policies and programs for protecting and improving the environment. This concentration is designed for students with strong backgrounds in mathematics and sciences who want to be involved in quantitative analysis of government and private environmental policies, programs, and practices. You will receive a solid grounding in basic natural sciences and learn economic and statistical skills that qualify you for entry level jobs or graduate study in environmental and natural resource economics and policy. You will also develop communi¬ca¬tion and teamwork skills and receive broad training in social sciences and humanities.
