Registration form for teachers, RET program

Before filling out our online application form, please make sure you have the following documents ready:

A statement of why you wish to participate in RET
Draft a statement explaining what you hope to achieve by participating in the program and how it may enhance your current teaching practices. Describe your collaboration with other teachers and your ability to work with a team. Why are you interested in learning about renewable energy and power engineering? Give an example of how you encourage students who might not normally aspire to attend college. Describe a favorite activity, lab or project from your classroom that shows your teaching style and the educational and technology tools you use in your teaching. Give examples of lessons you've successfully modified to include differentiation and address learning styles. You will have space for about 200 words per question.

Online applications are open until March 30, 2012.

Online Application Form
Feel free to preview the application. Once you have everything ready, data entry and online submission will take you only about 15 minutes. You should plan to begin and complete the application submission process at one time. If you exit the system before executing "Submit Application," all data will be lost.

Additional materials are required for a complete application to the program. Please send these additional items to your local site coordinator once you complete the online portion of the application.

  • A letter of support from your principal
This letter is to ensure administrative support for your participation. In addition, your principal should indicate his/her willingness to help you secure use of computer or video equipment you will need during the 2012-2013 school year.
  • Two letters of recommendation
These letters from coworkers or professional associates should speak to your overall commitment as an educator, your desire for further professional development, and any other professional qualities that would make you an ideal participant for this program.
