Registration form for high school students, Young Scholars program
The Young Scholars program places students where the action is-- a working engineering laboratory. This a unique oportunity for hands-on college experience while still in high school. Applicants from Center partnership schools must be completing either their sophomore or junior year in high school. During this summer experience, Young Scholars will work in FREEDM Systems Center research laboratories, participate in career and college exploration activities, and experience field trips or tours. Students will earn additional funds by developing and submitting a project to the International Science and Engineering Fair or the equivalent. Before filling out our online application form, please make sure you know the mathematics, science, and technology classes you plan to take in the fall. Also, please make sure you have answers to the following questions ready: A statement of why you wish to participate in Young Scholars Online applications are being accepted until March 30, 2012. Online Application Form Additional materials are required as part of the application process. Please send these additional items to your local site coordinator once you complete the online portion of the application. Be sure to check your email frequently as we will use this to send notifications.
