DIMENSION UPDATE Command:

The UPDATE dimension command allows you to modify existing dimensions to match changes in a dimension style.


*NOTE: Prior to using this command, you need to have made the modifications to the dimension style that is assigned to the dimension. Then you can use the Update command to apply these changes to specific dimensions.

To access the Update commands you can:

select Update under the Dimension Menu,

OR

type update at a Dim: prompt,

OR

click on the Update button on the Dimensioning toolbar.

--Prompt: Command: Type dim and press Enter.

--Prompt: Dim: Type update and press Enter.

--Prompt: Select objects: Click on the dimension/s you wish to update to the new style settings.

--Prompt: Select objects: Continue selecting dimensions or press Enter to end the selection process. Dimensions will be updated to match the changes in the dimension style.
