ORTHO Command:

AutoCAD Command List

The ORTHO command limits the movement of the cursor to horizontal and vertical directions.

To select the Ortho Command you can:

type ortho at a Command: prompt,

OR

click on the ORTHO button on the Status Line,

OR

press the F8 key.

--Prompt: ON/OFF <OFF>:
type on to turn ORTHO on and off to turn ORTHO off.

The current ORTHO status will appear between the < > symbols (more than and less than symbols).
