VIEWPORT (VPORTS) Command:

Viewports (VPORTS) allow you to create multiple viewing windows, which can be set to display different views of a model, in TILEMODE.

To access the Vport command you can:

type in vports at a Command: prompt

OR

select Tiled Viewports under the View Menu.


--- If you use the View menu to activate the command, a dialogue box appears. To change your viewpoint configuration, choose the Sample viewport layout by clicking on the desired viewport configuration with the LEFT mouse button and on the OK to exit the dialogue box.

---If you type vports at a Command: prompt, the prompt will read: Save/Restore/Delete/
Join/SIngle/?/<3>/4: Press Enter to select the default option of 3 or type the capital letter for the option you wish to choose.

--Prompt: Horizontal/Vertical/
Above/Below/Left/
<Right>:

Press Enter or specify the arangement of the viewports.

--Prompt: Regenerating drawing.


Viewport Options:

Save-Allows you to save your current viewport configuration under a name that can be recalled later. The name can contain up to 31 characters.

Restore-Allows you to recall a vport configuration that you previously saved.

Delete-Deletes a saved vport configuration by name (you must type the name on the prompt line).

Join-Allows you to combine two views that are adjacent to each other .

?-Identifies the configuation you are currently using by name and number.

SIngle-Changes back to one viewport.

2,3,4-Allows you to select the number of viewports that are displayed.
