In addition to the University's EO/AA non-discrimination statement, the following statement pertaining to accommodations for persons with disabilities must be included in all University announcements for employment, including job listings, advertisements, and other recruiting materials:
"Individuals with disabilities desiring accommodations in the application process should notify __________ [name, department, phone, fax, TTY] by the date of the application deadline."
The suggested statement for programs such as workshops, events, seminars, classes, organizational meetings, etc., to be used in all methods of promotion, including written, verbal, and electronic materials; and announcements; as well as for accessing services such as personnel services, student support services, public services, information desks, etc., to be used in all methods of promotion, including informational brochures; written, verbal, and electronic materials; announcements; and posters placed conspicuously in the public service area, are as follows:
"If you are a person with a disability and desire any assistive devices, services, or other accommodations to participate in this activity, please contact __________ [name, office] at __________ [phone number/TTY] during business hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to discuss accommodations at least __________ [hours/days] prior to the event."
"If you are a person with a disability and desire assistance or accommodation, please notify the service desk."
Note: The time of advance notice is dependent upon the type of program and the time necessary to secure the requested accommodation(s).
