Teacher-Participant Heuristic Quest Research Project

Building on the theme of our quest partnership and experience, “Where I’m/we’re from” and the related notions of identity and our sense of place in NC and the larger world, we are interested in having you complete a long-term inquiry-based research project in which you identify a topic of interest to you or an issue that concerns you related to language and/or the teaching or language. This project should relate to you personally and/or professionally, as well as provide related connections to literacy, specifically reading, writing, and thinking critically, as well as the English language arts and social studies. Ideally, the project will give you the opportunity to pursue a line of inquiry and interest that will not only benefit you personally, but also enhance the work you do with your own students in the future.
