This research investigates the responses of four counties in Colorado to wildfire threats. The research documents the actions taken to improve fire prevention and suppression, reduce hazardous fuels, rehabilitate and restore fire adapted ecosystems and promote community assistance.

The purpose is to share these findings with other communities wishing to take action to address their own wildfire threats.
