5-2.5.2 EXAMINATIONS
All examinations must be taken under supervision at an accredited college,
university, community college, or technical college. (At NC State, examinations
are supervised by the Office of Adult Credit Programs & Summer Sessions,
McKimmon Center, 515-2265.) Students should be aware that some institutions
charge a fee for supervising examinations. The examination application
is found in the Independent Studies course manual. It is the student's
responsibility to complete the application and return it to the Independent
Studies office. It is also the student's responsibility to take the examination
at the scheduled time or to contact the examination supervisor if there
is a need to reschedule the examination. Regardless of the grades earned
on the written assignments, students must make a passing grade on the final
examination in order to receive credit for the course.
