African American Symposium

The African American Symposium (AAS) is a summer program for incoming first year students that is sponsored by the Office for Diversity and African American Affairs. The AAS was developed in 1983 for the purpose of providing students with the support and information needed to minimize the challenge of adjusting to college while maximizing their academic success potential. The AAS is presented as a series of seminars and workshops, in conjunction with NC State's New Student Orientation Program.
