Area Mission
The graduate program in Developmental Psychology prepares individuals
primarily for careers aimed at enhancing our understanding of human
development. Graduate training focuses on the development of domain-specific
theoretical and empirical expertise in a specific area of Developmental
Psychology, as well as strong foundation in human development across the life
span.
Prospective
Students
Students are admitted each fall
semester. Applications are welcomed from students with Bachelor's or Master's
degrees. In selecting students for the graduate program in Developmental
Psychology, both traditional academic qualifications and relevant
research-related experiences are considered, along with the match between the
applicant's research interests and those of the faculty. Admitted students
can expect to receive funding in the form of teaching or research
assistantships, with levels of support and benefits generally typical of
those offered among doctoral level psychology programs. Some students may
also qualify for special Graduate
School supplements.
