1. Grade of C- or higher required in CH 101; ENG 101; MA 141, 241; MEA 421, 422; PY 205. 2. Substitute Visual/Performing Arts or History in Fall if ENG 101 must be taken in Spring due to course availability. 3. These course to be selected from the approved GER Listings for Social Sciences and Humanities and must include: 3 hours in literature; 3 hours in history, philosophy, or religion, 3 hours in the visual or performing arts or history; two courses (6 hours) from different content areas in the study of psychology, economics, politics, sociology, anthropology, or cultural geography; two courses (6 hours) from the humanities/social sciences disciplines. At least one course selection must focus on on a non-English speaking culture. At least one course must be taken from among those offered on the GER list of Science, Technology, and Society from a Humanities or Social Sciences perspective. 4. Geophysical Science Elective is selected from among MEA 101, PY 123, PY 124, SSC 220, or CE 200. 5. CSC 114 Introduction to Computing C++ recommended but may substitute CSC 112 FORTRAN or CSC 116 JAVA. 6. Any Physical Education course at the 100 level. 7. Advised Electives are any meteorology course at the 400 or 500 level. 8. Approved Elective should be selected in consultation with advisor. 9. This course should be taken from among those offered on the GER list from a Humanities or Social Science perspective. 10. Graduation also requires foreign language proficiency at the FL_102 level. |
