Graduation Photos FAQ
NC State is partnering with Photo Specialties this year to offer professional photos to graduates. Below is information regarding the processes of taking, receiving, and purchasing those photos.
Where will the photos be taken and how will the photographer match my photo with my name and information?
Photos of doctoral candidates will be taken crossing the stage at the main university ceremony taking place at the PNC arena. Photos are matched based on the final list of candidates provided by the Graduate School and used to call student names during the ceremony.
Graduating seniors and masters candidates who are interested in having graduation portraits taken of them in their cap and gown may do so on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in room 3285 of the Talley Student Union. You will be asked to complete a card with your name and contact information prior to getting your photo taken. You will receive an email within five days providing you with a password to go in to Photo Specialties website and view your proof. You will also receive a paper proof through the mail.
Photos taken at the Chancellor’s Reception will be provided as general highlights for you to select from. As these are not matched to students, you will need to visit the Photo Specialties website and search through these highlights to find specific photos. A password will be provided to you at the reception for you to go in and view these photos.
